Just go to the dance with him, if he asks you out just say that you don't want to ruin your friendshipDATING TIPS?! (for a thirteen year old)?
Well, it's still ok to go out and have a good time just as friends. If he's easy to talk to, you could tell him before the dance that you'd love to go, but ';just as friends';. My friend talks about this site that her 15 year old son uses all the time for dating tips. It is http://www.datingtips247.com Maybe it can answer some questions for you. Good luck!
all u need to know is all he's after is a *******, so get your mum 2 show ya
At your age, parents should be saying, ';To the dance and straight home.'; Lets you off the hook about worrying about hanky panky. As a matter of fact, run that by your parents. They come in handy as someone to blame when you're not sure of yourself.

I mean, if you want, he can hang out at your house with snacks and friends afterwards. With your parents in the other room with the door open but studiously not looking at anything but the TV or reading. LOL

Or down the hall but refilling the popcorn bowl every 15 minutes. Hey, 13 year olds are too young to have to deal with this if they don't want to and your parents are your allies.
