I've always been told and known that cancers do not go well with aries. Of course, it would depend on your whole chart.

I'm an Aries, hmm. Don't slow down, be active, physically and/or mentally. Try new things, he may be a shy or outgoing, either way, be prepared for a ride. Oh yeah, be direct and straightforward with him always.
